Make a commitment to leave your legacy by planning to make a future gift to support people with disabilities.
Your planned gift to The Rehabilitation Foundation will go to support the future of our agency's mission and enhance the quality of life for future generations of people with disabilities.
Often times, many of us are not able to give sizable donations during our lifetime. With planned gifts, you are able to thoughtfully plan and leave your legacy to support the people we serve.
Please consider leaving The Rehabilitation Foundation in your will or living trusts. A simple bequest is the easiest way to make a planned gift. Your bequest can be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or a residual portion of your estate. Language as simple as the following, is all that is required for this type of gift.
"I, [name] of [city, state, ZIP], give, devise and bequeath to The Rehabilitation Foundation, Olean, NY, a 501 c(3) nonprofit corporation [state desired written amount or percentage/portion of the estate] for its unrestricted use and purpose in supporting people with disabilities."
Planning a gift of stocks has great incentives, not only will you be helping to secure our future, but you'd also receive a large tax benefit. Cashing in matured stocks requires you to pay a capital gains tax. However, stocks donated to The Rehabilitation Foundation are tax exempt; therefore you would not be responsible for paying such fees.
Please consult with your tax advisor or attorney for any legal or tax advice. To learn more about how your planned gift will make a difference in our future or to notify us of your intentions to leave a planned gift, please contact The Rehabilitation Foundation at (716)-375-4739.
